Looking back, A-School has been an integral part of my life. It is an honour to be part of the second cohort to have experienced the full 12 years of both primary and secondary education here. It’s fascinating to see how much I’ve changed over these 12 years – from an introverted young child who was afraid to speak up in class, to a confident young lady ready to step up and take on leadership roles. A-School has truly laid the foundation for who I am today.
One of my most memorable experiences at A-School was returning after a six-month exchange in Switzerland. The immense support I received from my teachers made it possible for me to catch up on three months of missed content in the first semester of the GCE A-Level programme. The small class sizes in A-Level also allowed teachers to provide personalised, in-depth feedback – not only academically, but also in terms of our wellbeing and life values.
Thank you, A-School, for not only supporting me throughout my studies but also for encouraging me to aim higher. You have shaped my journey and empowered me to become the person I am today. I now feel confident in taking the initiative and leading within my community, even in challenging situations, thanks to the skills and values I learned at HKBUAS.
