My journey as a full-time fencer while pursuing my education has been nothing short of extraordinary, made possible by the unwavering support of Hong Kong Baptist University Affiliated School Wong Kam Fai Secondary and Primary School (HKBUAS).
I am profoundly grateful to have studied at HKBUAS, where the school’s comprehensive support system allowed me to excel both academically and athletically. With this foundation, I achieved what once seemed impossible: becoming the first Hong Kong female fencer to win a bronze medal at the World Junior Fencing Championships and the youngest full-time women’s foil fencer on the Hong Kong team.
None of this would have been possible without the dedication of my teachers, who went above and beyond to accommodate my rigorous training schedule. Whether I was competing in Europe or Asia, they arranged online lessons, adjusted deadlines, and provided personalized support across time zones, ensuring I never fell behind. Their commitment to my growth—both in the classroom and on the piste—gave me the confidence to pursue excellence in all aspects of my life.
Equally invaluable was the support of my classmates, who became my second family. They shared notes, explained missed lessons, and cheered me on at every step. Their friendship and encouragement reminded me that I was never alone in this journey.
The past six years at HKBUAS have given me more than an education—they provided a safe harbor where I could grow, compete, and thrive without compromise. This solid foundation has now led me to my next chapter: studying Speech Language Pathology at the University of Hong Kong through the Top Athlete Scheme.
As I look ahead, I wish everyone at HKBUAS a fantastic start to the new academic year. Thank you for your unconditional support, for believing in my dreams, and for giving me the courage to chase them with joy and determination.
