2023 Graduate – KWOK Ho Wang Clement

Looking back on my twelve years at A-School, I am overwhelmed with gratitude—not just for the incredible breadth of learning opportunities I have been given, but for the unwavering support of the teachers who saw my potential despite my classroom antics, allowing me to grow and develop into who I am today.

I vividly remember my time as a primary school student, I was outspoken, easily distracted, and often more interested in talking than completing assignments. In fact, I was far from the stereotypical “perfect” student, but instead of viewing these traits as shortcomings, my teachers saw them as strengths waiting to be nurtured.

They gave me time and space to grow, culminating into my roles as Captain of the English Debate Team and External Vice-Chairperson of the Student Union — allowing me to build on my strengths and create unforgettable memories such as winning the Sing Tao Debating Competition. These opportunities weren’t just extracurriculars; they were lifelines that helped me discover who I was and who I could become, ultimately fueling my aspirations to become a lawyer and give back to the community.

Throughout my time at A-School, there were moments of doubt, frustration, and failure. But through it all, my teachers never gave up on me. They trusted me, challenged me, and most importantly, believed in me. Giving me the confidence to strive for excellence in every endeavour.
A-School has been more than just a place of learning—it’s been a second home, a community that embraced me for who I was and helped me grow into someone I’m proud to be. Ultimately, I am thankful for the knowledge, skills and relationships that A-School has allowed me to foster and carry along with me through my next stage in life.
