Thirteen years ago, I left this A-school as a wide-eyed graduate, ready to take on the world. We were armed with knowledge, fueled by ambition, and bound by friendships. For me, the path led to law school, and a career as a practising lawyer in the UK – a journey I could only have imagined back then.
Life as a lawyer has shown me that the principles we learned in A-school — critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and the courage to ask tough questions — were more than academic exercises. Each moment in A-school, I learnt resilience, empathy, and the power of perseverance. They were the foundation for tackling real-world problems. Whether I was drafting contracts, representing clients, or mediating disputes, the skills and values instilled in us here have been my compass.
These 13 years have taught us that life is unpredictable. We’ve chased dreams, and discovered that success isn’t a destination but a process. The world has evolved—new challenges, new technologies, new opportunities—but so have we.
Thank you A-school, and congratulations on 20 years of resilience, impact, and growth.
